Pioneer Pole Buildings Sponsor Model Search Contest
Show Space Sold Out
OAKS, PA January 17, 2011 . . . With 270,000 square feet of show space gone that means the Motorsports 2011 Presented by SEF Small Engine Fuel Race Car and Trade Show will be like a huge motorsports candy store with something for just about everybody when the show takes place Friday, January 21 thru Sunday, January 23 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA.
“Show space has been sold out and we are still working to try to squeeze in a few late arrivals,” said show organizer Len Sammons. “This show could very well be a record setter and that fact that we have such stars coming in to meet fans and sign autographs should mean record crowds.”
Pioneer Pole Buildings has just signed on to sponsor the Model Search that will take place on Friday night at 8 p.m. Those entering the Search must be at least 18 years of age. Two ladies will be selected by a panel of judges as winners and each will receive $500. In addition the Pioneer Pole Building Girls will be required to do Saturday and Sunday appearances at the show.
From 11 - 2 PM and 3 - 4 PM on Saturday the Pioneer Pole Buildings Models will be signing autographs at the Pioneer display in booth No. 616. The second Saturday autograph session will also include Billy Pauch Sr., Craig VonDohren and Jonathan Swanson.
Show attendees will have the opportunity to meet and collect autographs from such well known figures in motorsports as 15-time NHRA Funny Car champion John Force, past NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Rusty Wallace who is now a popular member of the motorsports broadcast team for ABC-ESPN, Nationwide racer and SPEED TV personality Kenny Wallace, NASCAR Hall of Famer David Pearson, former Partridge Family TV star and now Philadelphia area radio (WYSP) personality Danny Bonaduce, Hall of Fame sprint racing legends Rick Ferkel and Shane Carson plus a long list of other national stars along with numerous local and regional racing stars.
Rusty Wallace’s visit is being sponsored by Miller Lite, which adorned Wallace’s cars for a few years on the NASCAR Cup Series.
More than a dozen free NASCAR-sponsored seminars covering a variety of helpful subjects for race car drivers, owners, pit crew members and others will be presented on Friday and Saturday. Subjects covered range from The Basics of Racing to The Basics of Race Team Sponsorship.
Don Miller, who has done just about everything in the sport ending up as a major part of the Roger Penske Motorsports operations, will show off his new book “Miller’s Time” along with co-author Jim Donnelly.
The RAACE Foundation Casino Night action continues throughout the weekend. Casino Night will be a featured attraction from 9-11 PM in the D-Hall Stage area Friday, opening night.
More than 200 motorsports vehicles of all types will be on display along with a long list of vendors offering just about everything imaginable in motorsports and some items that are not part of motorsports.
Many area speedways will have displays at the show and offer a great opportunity for fans to meet some of their standout performers and pick up a schedule of events for the 2011 season.
Old timers will have interest in visiting the Silver Spring Speedway Memories Display along with the Flemington Speedway Historical Society and the Reading Fairgrounds Historical Association. Many former greats will be on hand to talk with fans and sign autographs.
Always a highlight of the show is the BPG Racing Ms. Motorsports Pageant on Saturday at 7 p.m.
